Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Workstation Assessments
Our assessors attend your DSE users place of work and risk assess those members of staff that you have identified as users or operators under the DSE regulation.
This entails:
- One to one evaluation of each workstation
- Detailed questioning of workstation user
- Posture
- Interface with DSE
- General well being
- Any existing MSD, RSI or eyesight problems
- Any other issue they want to raise
- Complete comprehensive checklist: Chair, Screen, Lighting, Mouse, Keyboard, Desk, Environment, Computer interface
- Work breaks
- Basic DSE user training i.e. chair, posture etc.
Summary analysis
- A summary document for the management will be prepared. This will show all actions and points raised in the DSE risk assessments.
- Priam can optionally be used to pre assess your users. In this case we only need carry out one to one assessments on those DSE users whose online DSE assessment reports a need to visit the user. Using this method, you will have access to online reporting, obviating the need to compile manual summaries.
Quality assessors
The large majority of our DSE risk assessors have extensive knowledge of human anatomy. Thus you can be confident that your DSE users will not only receive a quality risk assessment, but also sound advice how to help avoid becoming unwell as a result of using their DSE equipment.
